Most people who voted for Trump previously voted for Romney. And, as Haidt said very triumphantly at the time, they mostly thought of themselves as Romney-like, concerned with honour and decency, even if that meant putting less weight on fair outcomes. It would be interesting if it were possible to examine people who switched from the mainstream German right to the Nazis in 1933

I don't think ones oath to the constitution would warrant impeachment in this case, but I agree with what Romney said about taking seriously their oath to uphold the constitution.

Both Parties tend to just leave that to the Supreme court. Obama knew his immigration policy violated the constitution and said as much and republicans are not much better - if at all. Voters need to require that every elected official in every branch take their oath to uphold the constitution seriously and not just punt to the Supreme Court.
