A Hiring Chart of Professional Philosophy

[I am traveling today (trans-atlantic flight), so I am passing on my daily essay.--ES]

I found this website with) charts of hiring in professional philosophy useful. It gives you a nice quick glance at trends without pretending to be definitive. (The data is compiled from the Leiter Reports.) Bottom line: the worst is over, but it is still a very tough market out there with not a lot of total jobs.
